Jared Starr

Bio

Jared is the Founder and President of Red Starr Investments, LLC. Prior to forming Red Starr, Jared was a founding Principal of Latus Partners, a real estate opportunity fund which launched in early 2007. At Latus, he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, closing and asset management for a variety of investment opportunities. While at Latus, Jared formed a venture in Puerto Rico with DVCO Inc. and GDM Development Corp., both Puerto Rico based operators, to acquire distressed real estate projects throughout the Island. The Venture acquired its first two projects between the third quarter of 2010 and the second quarter of 2011 and both were largely sold out by the end of 2011.

From 2004 through 2007, Jared worked in the Real Estate Investment Group of Ritchie Capital, a $3 Billion multi-strategy hedge fund. His responsibilities there included financial modeling, underwriting, and structuring in connection with all proposed acquisitions, and managing assets after closing. His responsibilities also included budgeting, profit and loss reporting, and track record analysis for the real estate portfolio.

Prior to joining Ritchie Capital, Jared was a Development and Acquisition Analyst in Puerto Rico for TJAC, Inc., the largest commercial real estate developer in the Caribbean. At TJAC, Jared analyzed and underwrote TJAC’s expansion and new development opportunities throughout the Caribbean and the United States.

Prior to joining TJAC, Inc., Jared worked at PMI/Southeast Regional Management Co., Inc, the management arm of TJAC, Inc. as an Accountant and Leasing Supervisor, where he helped property manage over 5 million square feet of commercial property.

Prior to joining PMI, Jared spent two years with Weiss Peck & Greer Investments, where, in the hedge fund department, he managed the accounting software that he helped develop at a previous position. He also worked closely with clients and fund managers to produce custom capital statements and partner reports.

Jared received a B.S. in Finance from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University.

Will Rukin

Bio

Will is the Founder and a Principal of Red Starr Investments, LLC. In conjunction with forming Red Starr, he built his family office, SLX Capital Management, where he serves as Chief Investment Officer and is a member of the Executive Committee.

As CIO, he is responsible for establishing investment policies, seeking out and evaluating prospective managers and overseeing their performance. He has experience with both public and private investments and has a successful track record across a broad spectrum of investments including the acquisition of distressed LP positions. He oversees the investment reporting team and along with his investment committee is responsible for portfolio wide construction and risk management.

Will also heads the Real Estate division at SLX where he is the primary deal generator and oversees a team which handles asset management and property management across a wide variety of holdings. He has principal responsibility for the acquisition and disposition of any real estate assets. During his tenure he has executed on several successful ground-up developments, property repositions including in Opportunity Zones, and value add rehabilitations. Will has experience overcoming a number of obstacles during real estate development including complex environmental, structural and entitlement issues.

From 1998 through 2004 Will worked at Valley Bank (Nasdaq: VLY). Originally starting in the bank’s Management Training program, he was tapped to run several special projects during his tenure. Early on he was chosen to head a group tasked with evaluating the Internet and its future impact on the Bank. Will presented findings to the Board of Directors and was then asked to create a new department to build the Bank’s online presence.

Not long after he launched the Internet project, he was again asked to create a new department – this time in response to challenges related to information security. He created the information security department and served as its inaugural Chief Information Security Officer.

Throughout his tenure he was identified as a problem solver with a broad skillset and ability to hone new abilities, work with a broad group of people and achieve excellent results.

Will graduated from the Horace Mann School and received a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Jordan Green

Bio

Jordan is a Vice President at Red Starr Investments, LLC. At Red Starr, Jordan is responsible for sourcing, underwriting and asset managing both debt and equity investments for the firm. Since joining Red Starr in 2013, Jordan has originated, underwrote or asset managed investments with an aggregate value of nearly $1BLN.

Prior to Joining Red Starr, Jordan was the Director of Originations at a fully integrated real estate investment and finance company based in New York where he was responsible for the origination, underwriting and syndication of short-term mortgage opportunities and retail acquisitions. Jordan began his career as an associate with FTI Consulting (NYSE: FCN) in their Real Estate Advisory Services group. Mainly tasked with providing financial analysis for various real estate positions, Jordan was a member of a team of Financial Advisors engaged to provide strategic oversight to the Unsecured Creditors Committee of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. regarding all major matters related to the Debtor’s real estate portfolio.

Jordan holds a B.S. in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.

Alec Miller

Bio

Alec is a Vice President at Red Starr Investments, LLC. Prior to joining Red Starr, Alec was an Associate at Eos Advisory Partners, a boutique consulting firm specializing in capital advisory and asset management services for commercial real estate developers and owners. He was responsible for underwriting acquisitions, creating and maintaining financial models for active deals, due diligence and asset management.

Alec began his career as an Associate with CPEX Real Estate, a full-service commercial real estate brokerage. In this capacity, he focused on selling and leasing industrial properties located in New York City's outer boroughs.

Alec earned an M.B.A. at the Stern School of Business at NYU and graduated with a B.A. in Biology from Colgate University.

Harry Goldin

Bio
Harry is a Senior Analyst at Red Starr Investments, LLC. Prior to joining Red Starr, Harry began his career as an Acquisitions Analyst at Henley Investments, a real estate private equity firm based in Boston, which specializes in multifamily, hospitality, land development, car washes, and venture capital. Harry was responsible for underwriting acquisitions, crafting financial models for new asset classes, coordinating due diligence efforts, and aiding in asset management.

Harry holds a B.A in Political Science and Economics from the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University.

Jessica O’Hagan

Bio

Jessica serves as Head of Accounting and Financial Reporting at Red Starr Investments, LLC. Prior to joining Red Starr, Jessica was with Colony Capital, Inc. (NYSE: CLNY), most recently as Senior Vice President, Finance and Accounting. Her responsibilities included financial accounting and reporting for Colony Credit Real Estate, Inc. (NYSE: CLNC) as well as non-listed real estate investment trusts.

Prior to joining a predecessor of the Colony business in 2016, Jessica was Vice President of Financial Reporting at SL Green Realty Corp. (NYSE: SLG). From 2005 to 2013, she held various financial accounting and reporting positions at Kilroy Realty Corporation (NYSE: KRC) including Director of Financial Reporting. Jessica started her career at KPMG.

Jessica holds a B.S. in Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles.
